State Fair, 231/365

Rachael presented Marathon Training at the Iowa State Fair today.  She received a Certificate of Recognition with the Seal of Excellence, which is basically a long way to say she did great.  Then at noon, she played Sonata on her flute for the Share the Fun show.  She had a very successful day at the fair.  We were basically tied up with 4-H activities until 1:00 this afternoon.  We didn't really stay very long after that, but did see the butter cow, go down the big, yellow slide, and look at the pictures.  We also went through the DNR building.  The kids LOVED just standing there watching the swans, geese, and ducks.  I asked a couple times if they were ready to go.  Finally, I dragged them away.  But, I was surprised how content they were watching those birds.  Of course, we couldn't leave without petting some horses and sheep too.  After all, it is the fair.
